A confidential space to explore the thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life
Aside from my private practice, I have worked as a counsellor to young people in a number of educational settings and for a mental health charity that supports young people in Bracknell.
I came to therapy after an earlier career at the BBC. Although I valued that experience, I felt a growing pull towards work that was more relational and grounded in care.
Supporting others has always been present within my family, and this shared value influenced my decision to train as a therapist.

"Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life."
Naeem Callaway
As an intergrative therapist, I combine both person-centred and psychodynamic approach. I draw on a number of different theories and techniques in order to meet my clients needs. We explore how things are impacting you presently but also make links from past events and relationhips and how this might be affecting you in adulthood.
Starting therapy can feel daunting. You may be unsure where to begin, worry that your thoughts won't come out clearly, or feel concerned that opening up might become overwhelming. You don't need to have everything figured out before you start, there are no rules or expectations. We'll work at your pace and work through whatever comes up together, in a way that feels right for you. I work in a relational way placing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of my work.
At times, life can feel overwhelming, leaving us feeling stuck, isolated, or misunderstood. Challenges may bring uncertainty and lead to patterns of overthinking that are difficult to break. Therapy provides a confidential and supportive space to better understand your thoughts and experiences and develop healthier ways of coping. Counselling is unique in that it provides a neutral, impartial space, separate from family or friend, where you can explore things freely without judgement.
People come to me for help with a wide range of issues. Here are a few of the more common difficulties that can be supported through counselling:

Difficulties at work or in retirement
Problems with family or school life
